Shatorah joined the Foundation in 2026 as Vice President of Strategic Communications & Advocacy. A Buffalo native from the city’s East Side, she brings deep experience in public policy, civil rights advocacy, strategic communications, coalition building, and community and economic development.
Shatorah leads Oishei’s strategic communications and advocacy work, helping the Foundation use narrative, relationships, public policy, and its institutional reputation to advance its mission. Shatorah works across sectors to address systemic barriers, build coalitions, and connect policy and advocacy to the experiences and priorities of disinvested communities.
Shatorah holds a Juris Doctor, a Master of Social Work, and a bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo. She is a member of the New York State Bar.
Coming home to Buffalo and doing work that helps change systems in a community that shaped who I am is especially meaningful to me. I’m excited to listen, build relationships, and help create pathways for meaningful change.
