Dr. Francisco Vasquez recently retired as President and CEO of Child and Family Services where he served for eight years. He is a member of the Kaleida Health Board of Directors; Buffalo Board of Education Audit Advisory Committee; Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo Board of Directors; Daemen College Center for Sustainable Communities and Civic Engagement Advisory Board; National Council of La Raza; Near East and West Side Task Force and the Western New York Hispanics and Friends Civic Association.
He is a recipient of numerous awards including the 2013 Community Leader Award-Social Services from the NFJC; the 2012 NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award; and the 2005 Leadership Buffalo Values Award for Inclusion.
Dr. Vasquez also served as a member of the Advancing Arts and Culture Oversight Board; American Cancer Society Regional Planning Council; Black Leadership Forum/Kaleida Health Advisory Committee; Brighter Future Fund; Buffalo Urban League Board of Directors; Buffalo Youth Prevention and Early Intervention Program Steering Committee; Center for Disability Studies Advisory Committee; Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies (COFCCA) Region I; Erie County Cultural Resources Advisory Board; Erie County Self-Sufficiency Coalition Steering Committee; Erie-Niagara Area Health Education Center; Fleet Bank Community Advisory Council; Hispanic Conference of Upstate New York; Independent Health Foundation Board of Directors and many other local, regional and national advisory and organizational boards.
Dr. Vasquez received his Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in Arizona. He received his Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
