Leadership Transitions
Dear Fellows,
I’m reaching out today with a few important updates about leadership transitions and the Fellows program. As we continue working toward a stronger, more equitable Buffalo, we remain committed to ensuring that our efforts—both within the Foundation and in partnership with leaders like you—reflect that commitment.
New Leadership Update
We have begun interviews for two new leadership roles at the Foundation—Head of People & Culture and Head of Community Impact. A special thank you to Fellows Sam Hill, Kimberly Brown and Rene Petties-Jones for serving on the Search Committee. These positions reflect our commitment to strengthening our team in ways that align with our mission and values. We look forward to keeping you updated as we move through this process and, ultimately, as we welcome new leaders to the Oishei team.
Evolving the Fellows Program
We deeply appreciate the Fellows program and the incredible network of leaders it has cultivated. As we look to the future, we are exploring ways to evolve and strengthen the program to better serve you and the broader community. While changes are on the horizon, please know that our goal is to build upon the strong foundation we’ve created together. Mark Scott and Allison Geddes will be reaching out soon to engage you in this conversation, and your voices will be an important part of shaping what’s next.
Extending Our Gratitude
Some of you may have already heard that Esther Annan will be leaving the Oishei Foundation to take on an exciting role with Villa Maria College here in Buffalo. Esther has been an invaluable part of our team, bringing deep expertise, passion, and tireless dedication to our work. While we will miss her leadership and insight, we are grateful for all she has contributed and look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make in her new role. I know you join us in thanking Esther for her outstanding work and in wishing her all the best in this next chapter.
As always, I welcome any thoughts or questions you may have. We remain committed to supporting you and the work you do, and I look forward to continued conversations as we move forward together.
With appreciation,
Christina
