Kim LaVare, PMP

Kim LaVare is the Managing Director of Clementine Gold Group, a Buffalo-based, MWBE-certified strategy and engagement firm. With over 15 years of experience and deep roots in Western New York, she leads equity-centered planning and community engagement across sectors like infrastructure, transportation, and economic development. Kim’s approach is grounded in cultural humility, systems thinking, and an unwavering commitment to aligning public projects with community voice—especially those historically left out of decision-making.

A proud Oishei Leaders of Color Fellow and certified Project Management Professional, Kim has directed more than 175 projects totaling over 2.5 million square feet of development. Her expertise spans everything from inclusive urban planning and SEQR outreach to trauma-informed organizational transformation. She serves on multiple nonprofit boards and brings a track record of building trust, strengthening institutions, and delivering outcomes shaped by and for community.
