
Kelly Dumas, LCSW
Kelly Dumas, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, nonprofit leader, and community advocate dedicated to advancing culturally responsive mental health care and strengthening the behavioral health workforce in Western New York. She is the founder of Dumas R.I.S.E. Providers, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on expanding access to mental health services and supporting the development of clinicians of color.
Kelly also owns a private practice, Kelly Dumas, LCSW, PLLC, and co-founded Dumas R.I.S.E., LLC, where she provides training, consulting, and professional development to organizations working in mental health and human services. Through her Building Capacity for Clinicians of Color initiative, she mentors and supports clinicians at various stages of their careers while helping organizations improve culturally responsive care.
Following the May 14 tragedy in Buffalo, Kelly establish the Black Mental Health Team, a network of clinicians, faith leaders, peers, and other mental health professional types committed to providing culturally centered mental health support to the community. She continues to collaborate with community organizations, faith leaders, and public agencies to address mental health disparities and build sustainable systems of care.
Kelly frequently provides workshops and leadership training on mental health, workforce development, and culturally responsive practices. Her work reflects a deep commitment to healing, community empowerment, and developing the next generation of behavioral health leaders
