
Collin Gehl
Collin Gehl has been with Say Yes Buffalo since 2019. He currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer. In that role, Collin is responsible for the overall administration of the HR Department. He ensures that HR supports the agency’s strategic and business plans, while complying with all federal, state, and local employment regulations. In addition, Collin sits on the agency’s Senior Leadership Team, oversees all agency trainings, agency hiring practices, and the salary/market assessments. Collin facilitates the organization’s professional development programs Leadership 101, 201 and 301. Leadership 101 won SHRMLab’s Better Workplace Challenge Cup in 2023.
Collin is the Past-President of the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association, and the College Relations Director for the NYS SHRM State Council. He has a background in non-profit, having held past positions at the King Center Charter School, the Buffalo History Museum, the Buffalo Museum of Science, Housing Opportunities Made Equal, and Child & Family Services. Collin has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Medaille University. He is also on the board of directors of Just Buffalo Literary Center. Collin serves on the Oishei Advisory Council and was a member of the 2021 Karen Lee Spaulding Oishei Leaders of Color Fellows. Collin is a member of the Emerging Philanthropists of Color (under the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo) and an alumnus of Leadership Buffalo (Rising Leaders ’04). He is also a former board member of Tapestry Charter School.
