Glenn Jackson leads the Oishei Foundation into a new era.
May 22, 2024
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Glenn Jackson as the Oishei Foundation’s new board chair. Glenn succeeds Bill Gisel, who has served on the Foundation board for more than a decade.
Glenn’s extensive background in diversity, equity, and community development makes him an ideal leader to guide the Oishei Foundation in its new strategic direction—building a foundation for racial equity.
Jackson currently serves as Chief Diversity Officer at M&T Bank, where he has demonstrated impactful leadership and a strong commitment to community development. He began his journey at M&T in 1999 as a participant in the company’s Management Development Program after graduating from Harvard University.
Over the years, Glenn has held pivotal roles in the bank’s Finance, Treasury, and Retail divisions before transitioning to lead Buffalo Promise Neighborhood in 2016 as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Director of Programs.
Glenn’s commitment to community development is evident through his leadership on various boards, from the WNY Impact Investment Fund to Project Play WNY and the Lancaster Central School District Board of Education. Jackson’s dedication to driving meaningful change aligns perfectly with the Oishei Foundation’s mission to address racial and economic inequities.
Please join us in welcoming Glenn as the new board chair. We look forward to the exciting journey ahead as we strive to create a more equitable and prosperous community.
