Empowering Prosperity
Oishei Fellows Estate Planning Workshop
September 26, 2024
In our ongoing commitment to fostering financial empowerment within our community, the Oishei Foundation recently hosted an estate planning workshop specifically designed for the Karen Lee Spaulding Leaders of Color Fellows. This event was a vital step in equipping our Fellows with the knowledge and tools necessary to secure their financial futures.
The workshop offered comprehensive insights into safeguarding assets and delved into the intricate details of estate planning. From the essentials of wills and trusts to key considerations for effective legacy planning, participants were provided with valuable information to help them navigate the complexities of estate planning.
One of the unique aspects of this workshop was the opportunity for Fellows to engage directly with the attorneys who led the session—one being Jonathan Ling, Esq. (Cohort 1). These post-workshop one-on-one consultations provided a personalized touch, allowing participants to address their specific needs and concerns, ensuring comfortability in applying the lessons learned to their own circumstances.
This workshop is just one of many steps in our shared journey toward financial empowerment for all members of our community. We are proud to support the Karen Lee Spaulding Leaders of Color Fellows in their efforts to build a secure and prosperous future, and we look forward to continuing this important work together.
