A member of the Foundation's Community Impact team, this mid-career leadership role stewards two of our focus areas: Joy, Restoration, & Resilience and Individual Power. These focus areas center community abundance and well-being, the power of healing, and the creativity of arts and culture. This role supports investments that prioritize, restore, and uplift individual and collective power. The person in this role will be deeply engaged with grassroots leaders and trusted organizations on Buffalo’s East Side.
We’re looking for someone who is deeply grounded in community, understands and values collective organizing, and is passionate about shifting power to those most proximate to the issues.
- Key Responsibilities
Lead two of our seven focus areas: Joy, Restoration & Resilience and Individual Power, supporting work that expands economic opportunity, enhances mental health and well-being, and honors human dignity. - Build deep relationships with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and systems partners to understand evolving needs and co-create responsive strategies.
- Lead, execute, and manage two portfolios focused on elevating and supporting organizations and entities providing spaces that uplift the abundance and strength of individuals and resources in the community
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Foundation to align efforts, integrate learning, and ensure that investments reflect community voice and lived experience.
- Champion Trust-Based Philanthropy practices across the Community Impact team, the Foundation, and the Western New York philanthropic ecosystem.
- Contribute to storytelling and learning activities that elevate insights from partners and community.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $87,000 to $116,000 (commensurate with experience)
Exceptional Benefits including including 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance and 401k with a 7% match
This position is based in Buffalo, NY. The successful candidate is expected to work primarily from the Foundation’s office, with flex-time availability based on the requirements of the specific work performed.
