Geoffrey serves as Chief Financial & Impact Investment Officer for the Foundation where he supervises all accounting and financial activities and oversees office operations and administration, having joined the organization in September 2022. His role is also to build out an impact investment strategy and financial support strategies for non-profits as part of the Foundation’s beyond grantmaking focus.
Geoff brings extensive experience in budgeting, long- and short-term financial projections and modeling, revenue generation strategies, and audit services. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer with the Buffalo Public Schools where he led a staff of 60 in the Finance Department, managing a $1.1 million annual budget, and overseeing revenue, grants, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, audit, and purchasing functions. He was also responsible for coordinating the $300 million federal stimulus budget and subsequent monitoring systems for the school district.
Geoff has also held positions with banking institutions including an industrial loan company in Las Vegas, Nevada and with Evans Bancorp, Inc., and worked for HealthNow New York and Deloitte – Buffalo. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with concentrations in Accounting and Finance, from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
