The Foundation is seeking a full-time junior Program Officer to assist in developing, managing and evaluating a portfolio of grants and initiatives, with a special focus on health and human services. This person will work with people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and cultures. The successful candidate will have an innovative spirit, a commitment to and passion for the Foundation’s mission, an affinity for collaboration and teamwork, as well as a broad knowledge of key civic and community issues facing the Buffalo region.
A minimum of five years working in or with nonprofit organizations preferably in a management or program development capacity; strong organizational skills; excellent communication skills (verbal and written); and the ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions are required. A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in health/human services and/or a management-related discipline, is required; Master’s degree preferred.
The starting salary for this position will be in the $80,000 range. The Foundation also offers a competitive benefits package. The anticipated start date is May 2020.
