Both the unjust and horrific events in Minneapolis that have fueled national protests across our country and the racial inequities that COVID-19 have laid bare have deepened our individual and collective resolve towards and commitment to racial equity.
Since its founding, The John R. Oishei Foundation has worked to support those most vulnerable and marginalized in our community.
We cannot let this moment pass. It must be a catalyst for lasting change. We will use our resources, our leadership, and our ability to connect people in the Buffalo Niagara region as a force for systemic change to create a more just and more equitable world for all.
Our community and our country cannot thrive if the inequitable treatment of people of color is allowed to continue.
