Like all organizations and individuals, The John R. Oishei Foundation is deeply concerned about the spread of the COVID-19 virus and we are closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation. We are acutely aware of your concerns regarding the health and safety of loved ones and those you serve, as well as the potential economic fallout that this crisis may present. Please know that we are already working with our partners, community leaders, and others to better understand and address the short and long term needs of our community.
We will be following advice from county, state and Federal health officials with regard to social distancing and cancellation of events and others as they become available. We urge all to practice social distancing to the greatest degree possible for the good of our greater community.
Please know that we plan to continue our work and our staff will be available to you while working remotely. As always, and more importantly during times of great uncertainty, we remain committed to supporting our nonprofit community to the best of our ability. We will be in touch directly with any of you who may be impacted by the cancellation of any events or meetings and will work to set up alternate arrangements using technology as necessary. We will continue to evaluate our future plans and will reach out to those affected as necessary.
In the meantime, please know that we are grateful for our many partners who work tirelessly to create a better community for all Western New Yorkers and who will surely be tested in the rapidly evolving situation.
